Postbaccalaureate Fellow since 2024
My name is Jerry Zhao and I am a Postbaccalaureate Fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Dr. Xiaofang Jiang’s research group. My current research aims to leverage cloud compute infrastructure to build a database of phage-host associations. I hope to leverage my background in computer science to foster interdisciplinary research and develop novel tools to improve the way healthcare providers practice medicine. My research also involves designing and implementing deep learning models to enhance patient care and using comparative transcriptomics to characterize disease progression. Outside of the lab, I enjoy carving trails on my OneWheel and organizing DnD campaigns.
